Discovered that attempting to read fanfiction after watching and re-watching Yahtzee's "Zero Punctuation" vids (Google it) for more than an hour is a terrible idea. Amusing since I'm spaced out and half-awake, but all in all, having the voice in my head when I'm trying to read a yaoi fic speaking in a quick, clipped sarcastic tone and with the images in my mind having little battles in wonderous 2D with occasional flashes of words is not conducive to the real purpose of the story.

...Aside from that, the only real reason I'm updating is to get the comment meme off of my main page and because we finally had a sunny day today so after cleaning for four hours straight in my boxers while blasting Gnarls Barkley I can finally walk around the apartment again with an intense sense of satisfaction instead of an itching neuroticism. It makes me happy, so I put it here, since this is apparently the only journal I touch anymore.

I'm trying really hard to tie this back in to art somehow so I don't feel like an idiot. Art, girl, think art! ...Or think anything at all. I keep going into a trance-like state where I stare at the little digital representation of time on my computer wondering why I'm writing this instead of crawling into bed like I should. I think it's because I keep hearing songs on Winamp I like, and then decide that really, that's more important than sleep.

Ah well. Cleaning won out today over doing anything else, but it was worth it.

For anyone looking at this journal out of some sense of mild curiosity if they found me through fanfiction, just edit out the part where I said I spent four hours cleaning and replace it with 'writing' and we'll both feel better. *waves*
