As you can see by the fact that it's signed '05, this thing is pretty damn old. But I thought it's still interesting and it was a fun project, so here you go. (Note: The original copy is about four inches long, so that's why on a larger view the detail suffers seriously. It looks best small, sadly.)
It was an art project from Mr. Rhea's class several years back, where I had to make a picture using only ink dots and using a photograph as a reference. I'd post the photograph I used-- it was a stock photo-- but this is old enough that I lost the reference I had used, so if anyone knows the picture I'd love to have it and credit it. The lady has such an interesting face, and just because of the scale-like texture of her skin my teacher and I took to calling her the Dragon Lady.
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to do a better job on this even now, though.
Done in ink, not messed with in anything. Copyright me 2005.
Thank you! I remember getting pretty irritated with it at the time.

Thanks! Stippling, that's the term, I had totally forgotten. Knew there was a word but not what. It was more fun than I expected it to be, though it took forever.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
